For the past four decades we have been manufacturing knitwear for renowned European brands.
There is something tactile and emotional about knitwear. We get attached to a sweater in ways that we don’t always do with other clothing. Perhaps this is because there is something raw and organic about knitwear that brings us closer to the origin of clothing, by emphasizing textures and the yarns that are used to make it.

Our Atelier
Our Atelier is situated in Goodlands, Mauritius and our staff have a stunning view of the nearby ocean as they bring your sweaters to life. Many of them have been working in knitwear for over 30 years and our team has a unique blend of skills and collective knowledge. We are so proud of this rich knitwear heritage.
We are committed to keeping our manufacturing in Mauritius, preserving and developing these valuable skills and continuing to provide jobs for our communities.
Our Service
Our Atelier and studio design culture allows us to design and produce knitwear in very small batches and in short lead times. We focus on producing premium knitwear and accessories and offer a wide range of styles in cashmere and other luxurious yarns from the finest Italian suppliers.
Our Brand
Atelier Inam is our own brand which we distribute in 2 retail shops in Mauritius and online. We offer a range of cashmere knitwear and a made-to-order service personalized to the individual needs of our customers.
